In 2002, a faction known as Evolution was formed in WWE, consisting of four of the biggest names in wrestling history: Ric Flair, Triple H, Randy Orton, and Batista. WWE took to social media to announce the condition of the Superstar and it is being presumed that the match might be canceled between the two heavyweights. Edge turned heel after smacking AJ styles with a steel chair. He demanded Styles to bring his Pitbull persona which he adopted during his championship reign and not his tag team character from last year.

A possible storyline

Royal Rumble winner Ronda Rousey will face Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Following latest Raw episode it is also being rumored that Kevin Ownes will face Stone Cold Steve Austin. Indie legend has been too vocal on the microphone recently. But the WWE legend is yet to respond Owens.

Regal was an integral part of the WWE core management team. He was a key figure in both on and off the screen. He was the General Manager of the black and Gold era of NXT and was also responsible for talent scouting. WWE in its new set of lists of released officials named William Regal.

WWE revamped its NXT program and also rebranded it as NXT 2.0. The legend has not been involved in any storylines neither he is a part of the backstage crew. WWE also has stopped hiring talents from indie promotions which also dilutes the need for Regal being a part of the management.

Recently William Regal signs a new contract with AEW and is also being advertised on the official social media handles. The exact role of the legend in AEW, a nemesis of WWE is still a question. It’ll be interesting to see what the future has in store for the legend of the squared circle.

WWE Live events returns to the mecca of sports entertainment at the Maddison Square Garden. January to February is known as the prime time for the WWE as the Road to WrestleMania begins at Royal Rumble. Followed by WrestleMania week with a conclusion on the Grandest Night of the Season WrestleMania main show.

Austin Theory, walks down the isle to challenge WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at the Main Event of the live show at MSG . Beating Theory was nothing but a cake walk for the champion. As lesnar wraps up the show, enters the entire blood line.

Roman Reigns beats lesnar and busts him wide open. Moving forward the Universal Champion slays the beast on the steel steps in the middle of the ring. Paul Heyman hands the WWE Championship to the Tribal Chief who then posses with both the titles.

The feud has been brewing well for both the Superstars. As Lesnar beats Austin Theory, now he has a clear path to challenge Roman Reigns in a Title Vs Title match at WrestleMania. Both the Superstar will face each other at the WrestleMania in a “Winner Takes All” in a title Unification match. The Shows of immortals will take place on 2nd and 3rd Apriil in Dallas, Taxes.

Flair and Triple H worked together alongside Batista and Randy Orton as part of the Evolution faction in WWE between 2003 and 2005. It is well known that the 16-time world champion has been close friends with The Game for many years.

On the latest episode of his Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast, Flair was asked to give his thoughts on the WWE executive being allegedly “ousted” from NXT. In response, the 73-year-old surprisingly revealed that he is not in contact with his former stablemate:

“I have no idea either… I have no idea either… He and I were incredibly close but now I never hear from him, so I don’t know,” said Flair. 

Ric Flair left WWE in August 2021 because he wanted to pursue opportunities outside of wrestling without receiving the company’s permission. A month later, Triple H underwent surgery following a cardiac event, and he has not yet returned to WWE television.

Ric Flair did not elaborate on the possible reason why his relationship with Triple H is no longer as close as it once was.

In a recent podcast episode, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer reflected on the importance of his 16 world championship reigns. Flair also spoke about his decision to give the original World Heavyweight Championship, known as The Big Gold Belt, to The King of Kings:

“It was phenomenal [World Heavyweight Championship reigns], phenomenal until the end. That belt right there I gifted to Hunter [Triple H] with a note because Vince [McMahon] let me keep it, saying, ‘Wish I could have dropped this to you in 1986.’”

Triple H, a 14-time world champion, is one of the few WWE Superstars who could still realistically match Flair’s record of 16 world title reigns. The Nature Boy currently holds the record with John Cena.
